My answer is an emphatic yes! With gas prices on the rise, it appears to even out the slightly higher prices in a gas station with a convenience store. If you are careful, you will also find that some items are actually less than the prices in a regular grocery store!
Case in point - some people are addicted to coffee. I happen to be addicted to Coca Cola. My local gas station/convenience store sells my 12 packs of Coke for $1.49 less than my local grocery store! It amazes me to find that this is true, but I just checked it last night when I had to stop for gas. I also picked up milk, bread and a few inexpensive treats for the kids. Believe it or not, I spent less at the convenient store than I would have if I traveled a few miles down the road to my grocery store.
