The First Days Of School

As every child in America plans for the return to school and schedules, it strikes me that this is one of the most stressful times for a family. Schools plan meet & greets, send home piles of "parent homework," and request that tons of supplies be provided by the parent. Did you notice this year that some of those supplies had nothing to do with your child's ability to complete their end of the bargain?

Reams of copy paper were requested in our schools this year and cleaning supplies such as Clorox Wipes, by teachers in my area. My advice, ladies & gentlemen, is to keep it simple. We really have no choice but to make sure our children have what they need to do their work in school. I recently picked up notebooks for just a penny a piece for my kids - and yes, I stocked up to have enough for 2 years of school! Summer Slam & DX Is Back!

After an extended vacation, reportedly for injuries, Sean Michaels is set to make his return at Summer Slam. In my opinion, the best tag team that ever lived, DX is sure to make the crowd roar, and put on a good show. But do you really think the Legacy vs. McMahon & family story line will end? I'm guessing it is going to go on for a bit longer. Exuberant fans be damned, McMahon has too much to lose by putting this to bed. We tune in week after week, waiting to see Triple H exact his pound of flesh from the butts of Rhodes, DiBiase & Orton, only to be disappointed again & again. Record number of people keep watching, waiting to see it happen. Get set for another let down guys & gals.

At least Vicki is gone. No more shrieking! However, Smackdown is suffering. I have to find a reason each week to watch the show. My saving grace? Jeff Hardy. I'm guessing he will lose to C.M. Punk, who should give up the "straight edge superstar" tagline immediately. No smoking, no drinking, no drugs...okay, here's your due kudos. However, with your performance the past few weeks of taking advantage when a man is down.
